The Way of the Empath

Sensing what is “unseen” in the way of the emotions of others (and even thoughts, nuanced implications) is not uncommon for humans because of our primal instincts. Knowing “what’s up” is part of survival. But we are trained to tune out a lot of what we intuitively perceive, to stay focused on an overriding agenda or task at hand. If you are sensitive and absorb the feelings of others, or wish to develop your “quiet knowing” to consciously use it, this book is for you! Stream Drawing Workshop at Westport Public Library

During these times of pandemic and great social change, stream drawing is a dynamic and  empowering way to express emotions, align with deeper conscious awareness and spring forth joy and a greater sense of presence.

Developed by Elaine Clayton in her book Making Marks: Discover the Art of Intuitive Drawing, stream drawing is a creative-meditation method that helps participants rekindle the powerful spark of creative genius we were all born with while also connecting us to our intuition and authentic selves. Using the medium of free-style drawing, we create as well as reflect on the drawings in a playful, relaxing – and at times profound – way. All you need is paper, a pencil and the will to make marks with an open heart!

This program is virtual. To register, click here. A Zoom link will be sent to you a few days prior to the event. March 24th @ 7-8:30 pm EST

No artistic experience is necessary!

Ha’Ari Greets the Bride

Ha’Ari Greets the Bride acrylic on canvas 12″x18″
This piece is inspired by my life-long interest in Kabbalah –dreams and strong transformative experiences and impressions I have had for many years. I am deeply inspired by new knowledge of my own ancestors, including “Ha’Ari” or “The Ari”–Isaac Luria who, like me, was very much moved by the mysterious and wondrous, stream-of-consciousness meditations where The Presence can be felt. This painting is part of a series on ancestors and their spiritual influence. Message me through this site if you’d like to know more or acquire a piece from this series.
